Baritone Simon Stricker was a member of the ensemble of the Wuppertaler Bühnen from the 2016/17 season until 2022/23. During this time, he established himself in roles such as Wolfram in Tannhäuser, Germont in La Traviata, and the Count in The Marriage of Figaro. For the past two seasons, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, where he won the annual Gelsenkirchen Theatre Prize for his portrayal of Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. This season, he expanded his Italian repertoire with Marcello in the current production of Puccini’s La Bohème. From June, he will appear as Master Ford in a new production of Verdi’s Falstaff in Gelsenkirchen.
